Infra LensPROACTIVE
Cameras on city vehicles find damage before anyone calls it in.
Vehicle camera
Clips from city vehicles, no new hardware to install.
Detector scan
Frames scanned by a local detector, CPU only.
Group
Repeat sightings of one defect group into one task.
Decide
One decision per defect: dispatch, merge, monitor or dismiss.

INFRA LENS · CAPABILITIES
Why finding damage early matters
Most road damage is found only when someone calls it in, and a pothole can sit for weeks before the complaints pile up.
City vehicles already drive every street on their normal routes. Lens uses those drives to spot damage first.
What Lens does today
Uploaded clips are scanned by a local detector. Repeat sightings group into one cluster, so three passes over a pothole make one task.
Each cluster gets one decision, and a dispatched cluster lands in the work queue like any other report.
What Lens does not do yet
Lens scans clips after they are uploaded. Nothing runs live inside the vehicle, and nothing is decided on the road.
Live public traffic cameras and hazard feeds are coming, not part of Lens today.
Privacy for vehicle video
Vehicle frames are kept as recorded so the detection box matches what the detector saw, so they never leave a private bucket.
Staff open them through short-lived signed links, frames are deleted after 90 days, and the public view shows a placeholder.
Lens against other ways to find damage
Every approach below finds real damage. The difference is how often it looks, and what happens to what it finds.
| Capability | Infra Lens | Manual windshield survey | Annual contractor pavement survey | Phone-camera road scanning apps |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Who collects | City vehicles on normal routes | Staff driving set routes | Contractor crew | Staff with phones |
| How often | Each time clips are uploaded | When staff drive the route | Once per contract period | When someone records a drive |
| Cost profile | Uses vehicles already driving | Staff time per survey | Contracted survey engagement | Phones staff already carry |
